Hola!
Hi, I’m Sky - separation anxiety behaviour consultant, professional dog trainer, heavy coffee drinker, and the human behind Chispa Dogs.
I’ve been working with dogs (and their people) for over 10 years now, another 2 - as a volunteer at a local pet rescue centre. From dog show handling, volunteering to owning a private dog training studio in the heart of Glasgow. I've done a lot before finding my passion in dog separation anxiety treatment and working with urban dogs.
Why?
Because I’ve seen how much it affects both ends of the lead.
With separation anxiety i’s not just a dog pacing, barking, or destroying the sofa, it’s their humans cancelling plans, feeling trapped, moving houses and wondering if life will ever feel “normal” again.
With city dog challenges - it's a dog that doesn't understand the world around them and reacts to it and their absolutely lost humans, wondering why whatever they learned in a dog training class isn't working in real life.
It's a huge emotional burden for both and I believe that I was put on this Earth to help humans as much as their dogs.
So here I am, helping clients all over UK and Europe - from the hectic London to rainy Glasgow, to sunny Barcelona.

What's Chispa?
Chispa means “spark” in Spanish and I think it's a beautiful word. That might be exactly what we need to bring back into your journey.
Not just for your dog, but for you too.
It’s the spark of hope when you’ve tried everything, the spark of motivation when you’re ready to give up, and the spark of joy when you see your dog relaxing for the first time.
No issue is fixed in a week or even a month and I won’t pretend otherwise.
You’ll have homework. You’ll make sacrifices. But you won’t be doing it alone.
We’ll adapt the plan together when life throws curveballs, and we’ll keep going until calm isn’t just possible, it’s your new normal.
